Be Not Deveived
In the times we are living there are many false teacher's that lead God's people astray, it is vital that each Christian know the scriptures for themselves so they can rightly divide the word of truth.
2Ti 2:15 Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Much of what is taught has been twisted with the traditions of man. Since the time of Constantine much of what is taught by others has been diluted with pagan philosophies. We can not take for granted everything we hear in the pulpit as doctrinal truth.
Mar 7:8- "You abandon the commandments of God to follow human traditions." He added, "You have no trouble rejecting the commandments of God in order to keep your own traditions!
2Pe 2:1-3 But there were also lying prophets among the people then, just as there will be lying religious teachers among you. They'll smuggle in destructive divisions, pitting you against each other--biting the hand of the One who gave them a chance to have their lives back! They've put themselves on a fast downhill slide to destruction, but not before they recruit a crowd of mixed-up followers who can't tell right from wrong. They give the way of truth a bad name. They're only out for themselves. They'll say anything, anything, that sounds good to exploit you. They won't, of course, get by with it. They'll come to a bad end, for God has never just stood by and let that kind of thing go on.
If one is not following the Word they are following man, and what they have is nothing more than organized religion. If coming to church is not about hearing the Word of God and applying it to one's life it is nothing more than tradition and it amounts to nothing. Many have deceived themselves into thinking that religion will save them, they don't understand that to be a follower of Christ which is the definition of a Christian one must lay down there life and take up their cross and follow after Jesus in their everyday, every moment life.
Mat 10:38-39 And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life shall lose it. And he who loses his life for My sake shall find it.
Deu 4:2 You shall not add to the Word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, so that you may keep the commands of Jehovah your God which I command you.
Rev 22:18 I give fair warning to all who hear the words of the prophecy of this book: If you add to the words of this prophecy, God will add to your life the disasters written in this book; if you subtract from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will subtract your part from the Tree of Life and the Holy City that are written in this book.
If we receive a word and make it doctrine that takes away or adds to the Word of God we are bringing disaster into our life. We must know the word for ourselves and only take in from others what we know is really there. So I beckon you if you have not read the word from beginning to end, start now, so you will not be part of the many that are deceived. For the bible says that even the elect will be deceived.
Mat 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders; so much so that, if it were possible, they would deceive even the elect.
