BECOMING WHAT YOU WANT
We have all liked someone before, spending countless hours thinking about them wanting to be with them so bad, yet nothing ever coming of it. Well it is a waste of time to desire something and never do anything to get it. At some point one must be willing to move beyond fear and idleness and do whatever it takes to receive what they desire.
Spectator or Warrior
Many of us want to be warriors for Christ, we want to see signs, wonders, and miracles as a daily experience in our life, we want to be the violent described in Matt. 11:12 taking the world by force, we want to see Gods kingdom come, His will be done here on earth as it is in heaven; then where is it, why arent the blind eyes being opened, the deaf ears hearing, the sick being made whole, the dead raised? Yes, these things are occurring, I hear about them and see them on Christian Television, but why not through me? A warrior is one who goes after something until they get it, they dont just talk, they move, they are without fear, courageous, bold, and not intimidated, they give their all. A spectator talks a lot, even as if they were in the game themselves, they compare others, have opinions about others, they mock others, but never do a thing themselves except try to remain comfortable.
Warriors Being Conceived
The bible says in John 15:4 that apart from God we can do nothing. How do we go from being nothing to something, from Hearing to Receiving, from wanting to becoming? We must be conceived, conception takes place with God through intimacy. Intimacy is the key that opens heavens door so that the King of Glory can come in. Intimacy can only transpire when one realizes they are nothing apart from the other, only then will one give the other their full focus and attention. It is this intimacy that causes the seed (word) of God to become pregnant within us. As we nourish the seed (word) through continual intimacy it fully develops within us, becoming part of us, and in given time can now be released through us to be planted elsewhere. So we dont just receive what we desire we become what we desire through intimacy. One can only become a great kingdom warrior like David when like David they have a heart after God which is displayed through intimacy.
